Anikto in the E-Access Bulletin
One of the primary functions of Anikto is to evangelize the concept of accessibility in multiple contexts. Some of this is done through presentations and speaking engagements, as well as the occasional whitepaper or podcast interview.
I’m happy to report that E-Access Bulletin Live has issued an abstract from my upcoming paper on the use of virtual worlds among people with disabilities. Titled “Universal Life,” the piece explores how Universal Design can be applied to digital environments without degrading the rich interactive features enjoyed primarily by nondisabled users.
The E-Access Bulletin is a free email newsletter on the impact of emerging technologies on people with disabilities. It is a component of Headstar, a site that seeks to endorse new trends in government and social pursuits. In addition to e-publishing, the organization also sponsors events and partners with major corporations for “greater good” initiatives.
I have long utilized the E-Access Bulletin to uncover the latest information on accessibility, so to be among its authors is certainly an humbling experience. Many thanks to Dan Jellinek for approaching me about this opportunity.
